Special Spectators creates magical days for seriously ill children and their families at sporting events across the United States. I have been volunteering for Special Spectators since 2006, and have coordinated our events at the University of Illinois for the past 10 years. During that time, we have enabled hundreds of seriously ill children from Carle Hospital in Urbana and Central Illinois to enjoy amazing game day events that include special access to players and coaches, tailgate events, games, tickets to football and basketball games, limo rides, pizza parties, and more. We have historically been a 100% volunteer-based organization, with no paid staff. This year, we are raising money to help us improve our events with new features and events, raise awareness about Special Spectators, develop partnerships, increase the number of schools and teams that we participate with (currently at about 50 nationally), and more! It's an incredible organization that provides an amazing day packed full of fun for children across the country. A small donation goes a very long way with Special Spectators. Please join me in helping to reach our goal! Thank you!
