***VOLCANO RELIEF INFO***

We are partnering with Calvary Chapel Antigua, which is the Church Julio and I attended while I was living there. We know the pastor, Luis, very well and trust him whole heartedly. So anything you give will go directly to his church.

The church is located about 9 miles away from the volcano and they have already started taking items to the relief centers.

Thank you for your donation and willingness to help! We can’t be there for another couple of weeks so the least we can do is send donations for people to purchase the items needed for all who are affected by this mess!

*MISSIONS TRIP INFO*

We have a team of 28 people going to Guatemala in a few weeks.

We are meeting up with teams from Georgia & Washington, who Julio & I (Kat) will be staying with. We plan to meet up with the Charlotte team so we can all head to different places around Guatemala. We hope to also do some hair with the people we were able to teach last year and hopefully do some refresher classes. They have been doing such a great job. Eswin has picked up the baton and is running with it! He has continued to teach class and has 2 new apprentices as well as Cesi joining in to keep up with her skill! We want to join in on the fun too while we are there and support them any way we can.

We will be serving food to the homeless people in the streets of Antigua. We will be providing food, clothing and shoes for several villages. We plan on serving a school and also visiting an orphanage that we’ve known for years now. We will be providing money for a feeding center, helping them by preparing, cooking and serving meals for all the street children who otherwise would go without. We are working on a building project for a mission house and much more .We are wanting to be guided by the Holy Spirit to meet these needs but also be open for any new opportunities or needs that arise while we are there. We want to be a blessing to all those we encounter and share to their need and Gods supply.

All of us will be raising funding separately for our transportation, stay, and to purchase all those items while we are in Guatemala.

Our goal is to be a blessing to those we come into contact with. We pray that those who do not know the Lord would see Him in everything we do or say. We may not be able to provide long term change for people with these items that we give, but we hope to provide a breather for them for at least a short time...and introduce them to the one who can provide long term change in their life, Jesus. If us being His hands and feet leads to someone knowing Him, then that is what matters most!

My prayer is that each of us receive & listen to what God wants to teach each of us while we are there from those who do know Him, that WE would be impacted by their joy & simplicity of life. We tend to go thinking we are the ones bringing “gifts” when in actuality God may want to use the people of Guatemala to change our perspectives, to get a deeper look at who God is, not just in our own lives, but in those who have nothing, yet can be some of the most joyful people you will ever meet...
