The Skoll Social Entrepreneurs Challenge gives you the opportunity to make a difference and support entrepreneurial ideas to improve our world!
Here’s how it works:
1. Find a cause. Scroll through the main page or Team Leaderboard, and find one or more social entrepreneurs that you’d like to help. Each organization’s page explains the innovative work they are doing to promote social change.
2. Make a donation. Click “donate” on an organization’s profile page to make a gift.
3. Fundraise! Set up your own “fundraiser” to invite friends and family to support one or more of your favorite organizations.
4. Share the Challenge. Use Facebook, Twitter, and email to tell your friends and family why you donated!! By involving more people, we have the ability to make a huge impact!
This is a contest—participants are all trying to raise funds and enlist new champions for their work. Over the course of the campaign, all of the organizations will compete and collaborate to raise enough money to unlock prizes and a donation match from the Skoll Foundation. Find out more in the "About the Challenge" tab above.
Welcome to the second annual Social Entrepreneurs Challenge. This Challenge helps some of the world's leading social entrepreneurs raise funds to support their work.
Participants in the Challenge are recipients of the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, presented by the Skoll Foundation each year to transformative leaders who are disrupting the status quo, driving large-scale change, and are poised to make a significant impact on the world.
Dedicating their work to a range of issues to improve health, education, opportunity, transparency, and accountability in some of the poorest places on earth, these Skoll Awardees are poised to change the world and should be on the giving list of everyone one cares about the future of the world.
The Skoll Social Entrepreneurs Challenge will run from October 27th at 12:00pm ET through December 5th at 1:59:59pm ET.
Community Match
Skoll is contributing up to $2M to the participating organizations. For every $500,000 that the Community raises, Skoll will contribute $250,000.
Grand Prizes
The ten teams that raise the most during the Challenge win grand prizes and there will be weekly Bonus Challenges where organizations can win additional prizes.
And, the best part of the Challenge is that even if you don't win any of the grand prize money, you get to keep the money you raise during the campaign.
