Katy Kleindienst's Fundraiser:

As many of you know I have been working with children and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities for over 10 years. I have had the opportunity to work in schools, homes and clinics.  I have had the privilege of working with some amazing children, young adults and their families!  I have always been curious about services outside of our country.  After doing some 'soul-searching' over the past school year I stumbled upon the Global Autism Project and it immediately spoke to me.  

The Global Autism Project is a non-profit organization that partners with centers around the world to provide training and education to individuals diagnosed with autism. Unlike in North America, most countries are not legally required to provide special education services, so most children with autism never get to go to school. Global Autism Project is working to raise the bar in autism-awareness and teacher training all around the world! In fact, all of the Global Autism Project partners have committed to not only provide quality services, but to provide scholarships so that their services are not limited by socioeconomic status. 

In July, I will be traveling with Global Autism Project to the Czech Republic to work with the ABA Centrum center for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in Prague. The team will be training staff and reaching out to parents of children with autism who are eager to learn from our expertise.  Join our SkillCorps team in making a socially significant, measurable change in the lives of children with autism in Czech Republic! Each member of the SkillCorps team is a volunteer, and I need to raise $5,000. Will you help me?
