BENEFITING: FANCONI ANEMIA RESEARCH FUND INC
EVENT DATE: Jun 11, 2016
We have four amazing children; two of them happen to have a genetic disease. Sarah and Daniel have Fanconi Anemia (FA), a rare genetic disorder that can lead to bone marrow failure, and greater risks of cancer. FA often affects many organs, and systems of the body. At the age of three, Daniel fights chronic kidney disease and has had over 15 surgeries/medical procedures, and many hospitalizations. Sarah, who just turned six, has had surgery on both hands, and also undergoes many procedures/medical tests to help us be proactive in her medical care. Currently there is no cure for FA. We want to change that! We want to find a cure now! Won't you help us! We will be holding our first Shopping for a Cause: Yard Sale/Bake Sale for a Cure for FA on June 11th. We are accepting donations of new or gently used items for sale. We would also appreciate yummy, homemade baked goods. Shoppers & volunteers to help throughout the day are also a must! If you want to find out how you can help, please contact Anthony or Elisa at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can't shop, but want to help, please keep us in your prayers and make a donation. Every penny counts when it comes to finding a cure for our children!
