Shlavim is a non-profit dedicated to serving the emotional and psychological needs of American students spending their gap year at seminaries and yeshivas in Israel. An issue that is far too frequently overlooked, mental health care during these pivotal years of development is vital to ensuring a stable, positive lifelong journey of personal, spiritual, religious, professional, and familial growth. Shlavim was founded to ensure that those seeking help, or simply in need, can find the right people and resources to attend to these issues. SHLAVIM no only offers subsidies for the high costs of mental health care, but also maintain case managers for each case allowing for continued follow up and guidance throughout each client's process.
