The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center, Inc., (CAC) is a private 501(c) 3 nonprofit agency whose mission is to end child abuse through education, advocacy, counseling, and the pursuit of justice. The child-focused center coordinates the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse while helping children heal. Owens House brings together professionals and agencies as a multidisciplinary team to create a child-focused approach to child abuse cases. Everything at the center is designed to create a sense of safety and security for the children. From forensic child interviews to counseling and in-school educational programs, everything we do focuses on helping and healing children and families from the trauma experienced as a result of child abuse.
