I recently learned of on amazing opportunity for a group of Blackburn College students and am asking that you join me in supporting them!
Funding that was targeted for a group of Blackburn marketing students to compete in the National Student Advertising Competition has dried up.
The students have already been preparing because Blackburn has participated in the past.
While I have not been the most active alum or contributor, I believe this is an important opportunity for Blackburn students to experience a “real world” situation better preparing them for success after college.
To send the students we need to raise $6,928 by early April.
Each year the American Advertising Federation holds the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). Teams of students from campuses across the country, including Blackburn, research, plan, prepare and present an integrated marketing campaign proposal to address a real-world marketing challenge being experienced by a national retailer. This year that company is Snapple, the third largest non-alcoholic beverage company.
A group of 12 students from multiple departments including computer science and business began working on their marketing plan earlier this fall and are excited to present at the regional competition in South Bend, Indiana this April.
Would you join me in helping these students finish what they started and benefit from this amazing opportunity?
