I am excited to finally be a part of a group that I have long admired! I believe in the importance of helping others help themselves and I look forward to teaching and learning from both residents and caregivers as much as I can in the time that I am in Jamaica. I am thrilled to be part of such an amazing group with such an important mission. Thank you so much for your support!

Our Mission in Mandeville...
Therapy Missions has been sending teams of professional rehabilitation therapists (OTs, PTs, and SLPs) to Jamaica since 2012 to TEACH caregivers basic therapy skills through hands-on and classroom learning; enabling those we teach to TREAT individuals using greater knowledge and skill; and empowering those we mentor to TRAIN others. This will be our first visit to Mandeville.
About Gift of Hope in Mandeville...
Gift of Hope is the 13th, and newest, home in Jamaica run by Mustard Seed Communities, a nonprofit agency that serves only the most vulnerable populations. Gift of Hope, located in Spur Tree, Mandeville, is designed for young children 2–12 years old who are living with physical and intellectual disabilities. It is currently home to 20 residents.
Our Impact at the Gift of Hope...
Our experience has shown us that using the Teach, Treat, & Train approach to the caregivers' learning and development has a strong ripple effect... it builds sustainability and self-sufficiency in the communities we serve, producing lasting positive health outcomes for the children of Gift of Hope, who are living with severe developmental and physical disabilities.
