Together We Heal: A Walk for Wellness with PEP is an event aimed at raising awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding perinatal mental illnesses like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety & OCD, postpartum PTSD, postpartum psychosis, and pregnancy depression and anxiety.

Our mission is to strengthen local resources so that families facing these challenges will get the support they need.

This year's funds raised will support Welcome Every Baby.

Welcome Every Baby Family Connects (WEB FC) is an evidence-based newborn home visitation program. WEB FC offers 2 to 5 free home visits by a registered nurse and lactation consultant. These visits use the Family Connects Family Support Matrix to assess in 4 broad areas: Support for Health Care, Support for Caring for Infant, Support for a Safe Home and Support for Parent(s). The visit assesses maternal/newborn health and psychosocial status, and provides lactation support, anticipatory guidance and education on parenting, as well as direct referrals and a warm handoff with follow-up to community services.

All the funds raised will be donated by PEP in support of WEB and used specifically for extra follow-up visits for families that show signs of PMAD or are at high risk of developing PMAD in the future.

We can’t wait for Together We Heal 2019, to be held on Saturday, June 8th. Mark your calendars! We will gather at Leadbetter Beach at 9 am and we will walk, stroll, or bike up the hill to Shoreline Park. There will be a small reception at Shoreline partk to give people the chance to talk, play and support one another.
