St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is a specialized children’s hospital within St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. It offers a wide spectrum of programs to meet the unique health needs and advanced care of their young patients, ranging in age from birth to 21 years old. As one of the first pediatric hospitals designated by the state, the Child Life Department at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital depends solely on private funding to support their quality-of-life programs for pediatric patients and their families.
The 4 Miler at Garret Mountain is presented by Sax LLP in an effort to raise the critical funds necessary to help sustain the children’s hospital’s programs and alleviate some of the financial burden. The run-walk-dash event on the Olympic certified course has become one of the most successful philanthropic fall events in the tri-state area, and after 5 years, has risen over $290,000 for the Child Life Department through donations and sponsorships. Sax LLP has since become one of the department’s largest financial supporters.
The Sax Charitable Foundation will once again absorb all expenses for the 4 Miler and 100% of donations and sponsorship dollars will directly support the hospital’s Child Life Department. Past funding from the 4 Miler has been used to support the children’s hospital’s quality-of-life programs and much needed resources that work to instill joy in the daily lives of their pediatric patients and their families.
No contribution is too small, and every dollar raised will go to support St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. On behalf of these children and their families, we thank you!
