Michelson Found Animals is back with the fifth annual Saving Pets Challenge, a fundraising campaign for organizations focused on keeping pets out of shelters. Animal shelters, rescue groups, and spay/neuter clinics from around the country will compete for $250,000 in grants toward innovative programs that expand lifesaving capacity in their communities.
Everything launches on Tuesday, May 1st at 12:00pm ET and runs through Thursday, May 31st at 1:59:59pm ET.
This year participating organizations will be placed into two Tiers broken up by operating budget.
In Tier 1:
- The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins a $50,000 donation
- Second place gets $30,000
- Third gets $20,000
- Fourth gets $10,000
- Fifth gets $5,000
In Tier 2:
- The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins a $25,000 donation
- Second place gets $15,000
- Third gets $10,000
- Fourth gets $7,000
- Fifth gets $3,500
- Sixth gets $2,500
- Seventh gets $2,000
And, there will be weekly Bonus Challenges in each Tier for organizations to win another $35,000.
And, the best part of the Challenge is that even if you don't win any of the grand prize money, you get to keep the money you raise during the campaign. So, so great.
