BENEFITING: SPORTS AND ARTS IN SCHOOLS FOUNDATION INC
EVENT: SASF MNSTR Madness Cycle
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2017
SASF MNSTR MADNESS is a charity cycling event sponsered by the Champions Council to raise awareness and funds for Sports and Arts Foundation in Schools organization (SASF). The G RIDERS! are led by Gerald Yarborough, SASF Planning Board Member and Champion Council. Our team of young professionals will ride with pride for the cause!
I’ve chosen to cycle in support of Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation because I believe that after school programs are very critical to the success of young people. In today’s world, high stakes testing and extreme budget cuts eliminate many of these enriching programs. The hardest hit are all too often, low-income, Title 1 schools. And these schools are precisely the schools that need these programs the most! When I was young, I benefited so much from art class, and after school art programs. They helped to keep me out of trouble and put me on my creative path. Without these important programs I would not be where I am today. Looking back, it was so important to my education and perusing my dreams. I can’t fathom the thought that so many undeserved students have to do without these programs. So I am cycling to raise money and awareness for their importance. I am cycling on behalf of the 26,000+ children in NYC that Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation serves. My goal is to raise at least $1000 and I’m asking for your support today to sponsor me with a donation towards my goal. Every dollar makes a difference and all proceeds support SASF’s after school programs. All donations are fully tax deductible.
Can I count on you to help me make a difference in the lives of so many young people across New York City?
