As the region’s largest and only free-standing pediatric hospital, Sanford Children’s is renowned for its expertise in treating premature infants, children with cancer, asthma, diabetes, genetic disorders, heart problems and much more. Funds raised through Children’s Miracle Network, Cure Kids Cancer and Brave Kids Bold Cures help enhance programs and services and are used to purchase the most advanced life-saving medical equipment needed to care for children. Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls is one of 220 designated children’s hospitals in the U.S. and a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® committed to local programs and services for children and adolescents from all over the entire region. This exceptional facility also touts being South Dakota’s only Children’s Oncology Group (COG) hospital, participating in children’s cancer research studies and trials, providing the highest level of care to these fragile children.
About Children’s Miracle Network
Simply put, funds raised through CMN programs help change and save the lives of children. Funds are used to help sick and injured kids from birth to age 18, including tiny premature babies, and help treat everything from broken bones and asthma to diabetes, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, heart issues, childhood cancer and beyond. Since Sioux Falls became a member hospital, thousands of children across the region have been cared for at Sanford Children’s Hospital.
