This event is presented by the Sandpoint Rotary Club Named the #3 Charity Ride in the US, CHAFE 150 continues its legacy of support for education in the greater Sandpoint community. In the past six years, CHAFE has helped support autism programs by contributing more than $260,000 to our schools. New this year, CHAFE proceeds will benefit the Lake Pend Oreille School District’s Literacy Initiative and after-school reading programs. Funds will support this initiative by helping fund a literacy curriculum, staff development, and expand after-school programs. This promotes the LPOSD vision of providing high quality instruction and high levels of learning for every child, every day, in every classroom and environment. CHAFE’s support will assist the community by helping to increase student achievement in literacy; foster students’ love of reading; increase staff training in teaching literacy; provide safe, supportive after-school programs for students; and increase community outreach/targeted literacy events. A portion of CHAFE proceeds also support Rotary community programs. Sandpoint Rotary is a 501c3 organization.
