We believe that talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. At Samasource, we provide digital training and internet-based work to empower marginalized women and youth to establish long-term careers that move them and their families out of poverty.

We provide digital skills and professional development training in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. In addition to learning internet-based skills, our students get help with their CV's, participate in mock job interviews, receive professional clothing, and experience an amazing boost in confidence and self-worth.

The majority of our students find employment with Samasource once they graduate. Their income increases from $2 to $8 a day, allowing them to spend more money on shelter, healthcare and food. Three years after working at Sama, people experience an income increase of 3.7x -- a permanent move out of poverty. Since 2008 we have moved over 35,000 people above the poverty line and kept them there.

It costs $150 to train one person in Nairobi through our Samasource training program. Last year we trained 1,000 people -- help us reach our goal of changing the lives of 1,300 women and youth in 2017. 100% of your tax-deductible gift will help provide space, equipment, and teachers for our program.
