SALISA BANA

The dream, of providing a place of “Hope for Children!” Hope for Children School (Salisa Bana) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). DRC is home to nearly 5 million orphans. The poorest country in the world; where the average annual salary is $153. Please help us to educate and care for these children that desperately need our help. If these children are not helped, most of them could end up on streets practicing prostitution or joining rebel groups that have for long terrorized people in Congo. Salisa Bana is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities, shelter, clothing, food, and medical care to orphans and disadvantaged children and their families. Our goal is to improve their quality of life and to empower them to become contributing members of their families and communities Salisa Bana's school has 180 students attending Kindergarten through 8th grade. Many of these children walk up to 3 miles, one way, to attend class – most live in nearby villages. Our boarding school accepts children that have been orphaned or abandoned by their parents. 17 children are currently living and attending school at Salisa Bana. Many of them have never been in one place for very long, and have only known poverty all their short lives. But at Salisa Bana they will have a home, religion, receive medical attention and the love they deserved as children of God. From the generosity and kindness of churches, businesses and individuals the Salisa Bana School was built in 2013. Their generosity has touched the lives of many disadvantaged children in Congo. We rely exclusively from donations to continue operating Salisa Bana. The Salisa Bana Board of Directors are volunteers that care deeply for these children and all donations go directly to operating Salisa Bana. Please help us to educate and care for these children that desperately need our help.
