The Story

WHAT: A dance party for seasonally affected snowflakes

WHERE: The Bell House, 149 7th Street, Brooklyn NY

WHEN: Friday, March 24th;  9pm to 2am

HOW: "I"ll be there" tickets are $40; "I'll be there in spirit" donations can be any amount. Buy/donate here.

WHY: For 10 years a group of NY-based friends have thrown an annual dance party to shake off the SADs. But this year winter got extra dark; every day the Trump administration takes new steps every day to threaten Americans' fundamental civil liberties. S.A.D. Party 2017 will raise money for Planned Parenthood because millions of women depend on them for cancer screenings, access to contraception, STD testing, and safe, legal abortions. Facing threats from extremist politicians who want shut down its health centers, Planned Parenthood is fighting to keep its doors open. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Planned Parenthood to help its health centers continue to provide sexual health care and information to women, men, and young people.
