I will be running my first half-marathon pushing Krissy Krotzer - an amazingly sweet 13-year-old girl with full Trisomy 18. It is incredibly rare for a child with Trisomy 18 to survive to 13 - but Krissy is beating the odds!
After losing our first child to Trisomy 18, my wife Katie and I started A Butterfly's Touch (a 501(c)3 nonprofit) to provide support to other families enduring infant loss. In healing from our loss, we met Terre Krotzer and her amazing daughter Krissy.
She cannot walk, and she cannot speak...but she is incredibly loving and expressive. She LOVES to be outdoors, and with help she can "run" a half-marathon. All money raised will be donated to A Butterfly's Touch and SOFT - Support Organization for Trisomy 18, 13 and related disorders.
