It looks like I'm a glutton for punishment. I am excited to announce that I'll be running my second marathon this year! This time, I'm headed to Philly on November 19th to support the incredible work of Seeds of Peace and our quickly developing US Program. I'm also running to get people geared up and excited for our 25th Anniversary Celebrations in May.
The US Session works in Maine, Syracuse, New York City, LA, and Chicago to bridge teens across lines of difference. This program brings together a diverse cohort of high-potential changemakers for a transformative two and a half week experience featuring identity based dialogue as a central component. After camp, Seeds of Peace continues supporting these teens with year-round leadership and skills training. Many have gone on to become leaders in their field such as Rhode Scholars, internationally recognized journalists, entrepreneurs, and UN diplomats, all working to establish sustainable change in their communities. In 2018 we'll be bring Seeds from NYC, LA, and Chicago for a third time!
The costs of bringing one participant to camp from one of our new cities is $3,000. As we successfully did in April, I'm hoping to sponsor two campers and I need your help! I encourage you to contribute what you can. No amount is too small! Your support is appreciated in advance! Feel free to join me in Philly if you're around!
