Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
As many of you know I caught the running bug a few years ago and now look at me now. It started off with a 5K, then to a number of half marathons and finally to a marathon 2 years ago.
Many of you know that 2 years ago when running for the marathon I was fundraising for Connections for Abused and their Children (CAWC is committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, they provide counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence, including a shelter for women and children). After fundraising for CAWC they asked me to join their Associate Board and so as I decided to run the marathon again this year - I knew exactly for whom I fundraising for.
This year CAWC is teaming up with the CHICAGO METROPOLITAN BATTERED WOMENS NETWORK and collaboratively helping nine domestic violence service agencies in and around Metropolitan Chicago, including: Arab American Family Services (AAFS), Center for Advancing Domestic Peace (CADP), Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network (The Network), Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), Family Rescue Inc., Healthcare Alternative Systems (HAS), Metropolitan Family Services - DV Program (MFS), SHALVA, and South Suburban Family Shelter (SSFS).
I would be so appreciative if you can help me to get to my goal of $2,500 and help such an important cause in my life.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
