As the largest refugee resettlement agency in Colorado, the Refugee & Asylee Programs annually serves over 1,000 newly resettled refugees living in Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Morgan and Greeley. With your help, the Refugee & Asylee Programs provide much more than the basic resettlement services of case management and health services. We can provide practical programs and services that lead to self-sufficiency such as school tutoring, pre-employment job skills training and maintenance courses. Let's work together to promote refugee success through services that heal, strengthen and provide hope.
Worldwide, over 15 million refugees have fled their home countries due to persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or social group affiliation. A small number are resettled to a third country, such as the United States. The resettlement process is lengthy and many refugees wait in a refugee camp for years before finding a safe home in their new community. Welcomed by our country, these refugees come with few personal belongings and limited English but with resilient hearts ready for a new start at life.
