The largest typhoon in almost 30 years just struck Vietnam yesterday, and the devastation is unimaginable. Crops are flooded and homes are destroyed.
One farmer’s pepper plants lost all their leaves in the storm. Another farmer was on his roof during the storm attempting to fix it, but fell, and is now in critical condition.
As you know, when people experience huge natural disasters, acts of kindness go a long way.
Roots of Peace heals the wounds of war and plants the roots of peace by turning 'mines to vines' in post-conflict zones around the world. In the past decade, Roots of Peace has planted fresh grapes in Afghanistan, strawberries in Angola, flowers in Bosnia-Herzegovina, grapevines in Croatia, rice in Cambodia, wheat in Iraq, and chocolate in Vietnam. All while ridding the land of landmines.
