BENEFITING: Boomer Esiason Foundation
EVENT DATE: Jul 27, 2014
In my continuing efforts to help cure Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that affects my niece Julia, I am raising money for the Boomer Esiason Foundation (www.BEF.org). Please help me reach my goal of finding a cure for Julia and every one else who suffers from CF.
This fundraising page is for the San Francisco 52.4 Ultramarathon. Starting at midnight, me and 99 other charity fundraisers run the 26.2 mile San Francisco Marathon in the opposite direction. We must finish by 5 AM, at which point we join the other ~20,000 runners and run the same course in the other direction.
Why do I do this? Just about 5 years ago I was 47 years old, was mobidly obese and could only run 10 yards. I decided to run the Boston Marathon to get myself healthy and to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research, a disease my niece Julia, and many others, suffer from. And just like I know that a cure for CF WILL be found, I now know we are only limited by our mind.
Any donation to the Boomer Esiason Foundation would very much be appreciated by not only me, but by Julia and everyone else affected by CF in one way or another. Thanks.
