It's an indoor ergathon to raise money for Port Rowing's Adaptive Rowing Program*. Live music with rock it out while the rowers row for a cause.
* Port Rowing's mission is to teach and allow the opportunity for all to row. Our adaptive program currently works with teens with special needs, primarily those on the autism spectrum. The Adaptive Rower enters the program and is partnered with a peer mentor who is a current member of the youth program. The adaptive program teaches the basics of the stroke on the rowing ergometer, then the dry tank, and the rowing slides. During the program the AR also is taught basic body weight exercises and sretching routines.
