Hope + Healing Capital Campaign
New Facilities. Integrated Programs. Enhanced Services.
To better serve the needs of our patients, River Hospital plans to enhance services provided in the main hospital building, build a two-story medical office building for the delivery of integrated primary and behavioral care, as well as physical therapy and rebuild the historic Monticello building to house administration and financial services. The Medical Office Building will provide a permanent home for these important services in our community, and allow more space to upgrade the emergency, laboratory and radiology departments in the main hospital. Re-purposing the former Monticello hotel will also allow for future growth at River Hospital. The Hope + Healing Campaign for River Hospital is the blueprint for River Hospital’s Future. Please join us today and be a part of that future - ensuring River Hospital’s ability to provide exceptional health care to our communities for decades to come.

PTSD Services for Active Military and Veterans
The healing of invisible wounds starts here. With no other intensive outpatient service like this in the country, River Hospital took on the important task of offering outpatient mental health services designed specifically for active duty military personnel and veterans experiencing effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
These programs keep our Active Military and Veterans close to home while they continue healing and acquiring the tools to cope, providing education and support to those impacted by the effects of combat. Both programs serve as intervention options to reduce potential admissions of service members to an inpatient level of care, focusing instead on building coping skills and supports in the community.
Active Military - Partial Hospitalization ProgramThe program currently has the capacity to serve 30 active duty military personnel five hours a day, five days per week, Monday through Friday, which can be broken down into two different groups. Groups focus primarily on combat and non-combat Post Traumatic Stress. In addition to group participation, each service member also receives individual therapy with an assigned therapist and medication management with an assigned prescriber.
Veterans - Intensive Outpatient ProgramThe Intensive Outpatient Program offered to Veterans is a trauma-focused group program where Veterans are among peers who have had similar experiences and are facing similar challenges. Groups deliver Cognitive Processing Therapy with a number of adjunctive groups such as relationships, addiction, emotion regulation, health, and wellness. A VA referral is required if you receive VA benefits. Please contact your VA Provider.
The River Community Wellness Program (RCWP) also offers services to families affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Nurturing Parenting Program is a family-centered, trauma-informed initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglectful parenting and child-rearing practices. RCWP therapies include:
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Group and Individual Therapy
Peer to Peer Therapy
Imaginal and In Vivo Exposure Therapy
Psychiatry and Medication Management
