BENEFITING: Right To Play
ORGANIZER: Right To Play
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Hello friends and family! I'm running another marathon -- and once again, I'm doing it with Right to Play. As you know, I've been involved with Right to Play for many years and now serve as Co-Chair for the Champions Committee in the US. When offered the opportunity to run NYC this year, while helping an important organization fulfill it's mission (and getting my new-mommy self back into shape), I couldn't say no.
There is more about Right to Play's amazing work below. THANK YOU for all of your support -- now I need to hit the road, I have a lot of training to do. xx Sarah
ABOUT RIGHT TO PLAY: Right To Play is a global organization that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict and disease in disadvantaged communities. Through playing sports and games, Right To Play helps over one million children learn to create better futures, while driving lasting social change. Right To Play reaches children in 18 countries, including the United States, where our Play at the Core program uses purposeful play as the vehicle for learning in disadvantaged communities throughout New York City.
Each member of Team Right To Play has committed to raise at least $3,000 to support Right To Play. By contributing to our team goal of $21,000, you can help Right To Play provide 420 children with access to our play-based educational programs for one year!
Support Team Right To Play by making a donation today. For every $50 raised, Right To Play can provide one child with opportunities to learn and play for an entire year.
