BENEFITING: Range Of Motion Project NFP
Riding For ROMP - A special initiative for the Range Of Motion Project
We are riding to create change.
We are riding to promote mobility for all individuals regardless of financial ability.
We are Riding for ROMP!
ROMP is a global non-profit/for-impact healthcare organization dedicated to providing prosthetic and orthotic care to those without access to these services. ROMP believes that prosthetic limbs and orthotic braces are not simply medical devices, but instruments of personal empowerment. Individuals are not disabled because of a missing limb, but rather a missing prosthesis.
Join our movement by using your abilities to create mobility for others. We ask each runner to commit to raise $500 to help one ROMP patient in need of prosthetic services.
Running is for people of all skill level and physical condition, including individuals with disabilities. Either run your own race and track your mileage. Or run with one of our partner races. Although, not mandatory, we hope that all runners will consider challenging not only your mobility, but also challenging your friends and family to donate to this great cause.
These are some ways in which your efforts and their donations can help a patient in need of prosthetic care:
$100: Silicone Liner, dynamic foot, or low-impact knee unit
$300: Polycentric mechanical knee
$600: Brand new complete prosthetic leg kit
$1000: High impact carbon fiber foot
$3000: One month of Guatemalan staff salaries
$5000: Prosthetic resident scholarship award
$10,000: Travel costs for 10 university/prosthetic residents and an instructor
We will provide all of the fundraising materials you need to get started, including emails, letters, brochures, and prizes!
