Join in the fight to eliminate ovarian cancer and you will enjoy a great day of climbing or hiking amongst the beautiful crags of the Potomac followed by the HERA Celebration Dinner at the Carderock Pavilion on July 11, 2015.


Registration fee includes event shirt, goodie bag, climbing or hiking, drinks and dinner, gear giveaway, top fundraising prizes, and, of course, lots of fun and friendship!


Whether you’re a beginner or experienced climber, a courageous cancer survivor, a person whose life has been affected by cancer, or just someone looking for a weekend of fun – Climb4Life is for you! HERA’s signature fundraising events are the Climb4Life series, raising money for ovarian cancer research and awareness initiatives.


As a top fundraiser you will take home some really great prizes — like tents, sleeping bags, yoga mats, and more! Whether you are a newcomer or an old pro, HERA brings together women, men and teens to climb for a cause.  We ask your minimum commitment to raise $250 and make it easy with fundraising tips and tricks provided to you leading up to the event.

$75.00 climbing (after 6/15)

Returning HERA fundraiser? We've got your past donor lists all ready for you. 

When you receive your confirmation for registration, we'll be sending you your donor list complete with emails in an attachment for you to easily upload on your fundraising page.


Registration fees cover the cost of the day-of fun (not tax deductible)…we ask your commitment to raise $250 or more in donations to help fund scientific research grants aimed at eliminating ovarian cancer (tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law).  Don’t you worry!  We provide you everything you need for success and make it easy peazy to meet and surpass your goal.

Bring a guest with you to the HERA Celebration Dinner at Carderock Pavilion. Tickets for guests ages 8 and older are $20 each. Tickets must be purchased on-line in advance - click here to buy now. Sorry, no tickets available at the door; National Park Service Regulations.

Alcoholic beverages will only be served to participants who show valid proof of legal age.



Climbing gear will be available for check out if you don't have your own equipment. Climbing activities are supported by professional climbing guides who require the following safety regulations. Climbing participants are required to wear a helmet at all times at the crag. Anyone who does not bring a helmet to the crag or who refuses to wear a helmet will be asked to leave the crag. Climbing participants cannot set up or clean anchors. Climbing participants cannot lead climb.



Climbers and their teams will be assigned to either Carderock, MD or Great Falls, VA. Team captains will notify climbers prior to the event day where they should report to climb on Saturday morning.



All hiking activities will be held at Great Falls, VA.



Women, men and teens above 11 years old are welcome.  Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
