Restorations Second Stage Homes

With Support, Victims Become Survivors

www.restorationscanada.org Tax ID 817614779RR0001

Restorations provides survivor-led, specialized, long-term, holistic care for victims of commercial

sexual exploitation in Canada. Services are strengths-based, harm-reduction

focused, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and responsive to marginalized audiences including

LGBTQS+, BIPOC, newcomers, persons with mental illness and substance use disabilities and

addiction, etc. Restorations is addressing a major regional service gap in Halton/Hamilton – lack of

safe, affordable, long-term housing for survivors of human trafficking – with our renovated

three-bedroom Burlington home which provides residential programming and a survivor-centered,

integrated case management approach that empowers survivors in their journey to recovery while

supporting their successful reintegration into society. Restorations’ Peer-led Support Program

creates shared community while addressing survivor social isolation and allowing staff to build trust

and rapport. Staff provide individualized case management and agency referral to community

resources such as mental illness and addiction treatment, health care and medical services, income

assistance, access to education, safe employment options, systems navigation, court and legal

services, healthy nutrition, financial literacy, etc.
