BENEFITING: Resonance Works
THE STORY:
Resonance Works is an artist-driven, multi-modal performing arts company dedicated to exploring the confluence of artist, audience, music, and space. We are blurring the lines between classical music genres to bring a variety of collaborative, artist-driven professional performances to the Pittsburgh region.
In less than four years, Resonance Works has established itself as a bold new voice in Pittsburgh's vibrant arts scene. Our season includes five mainstage productions and our Resonance Chamber series at The Livermore in East Liberty.
With RE: REdiscover/REnew/REinvent, our collaboration with Cello Fury, already under our belt this fall, we are gearing up for our beloved family tradition of Amahl & the Night Visitors, which this year is paired with the Fantasia on Greensleeves by Vaughan Williams, and Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, featuring ResWorks’ concertmaster Sandro Leal-Santiesteban as soloist. The spring brings ...in Excelsis, a choral-orchestral program with an American premiere, the Tony-winning revue Side by Side by Sondheim, and Verdi's triumphant final opus, Falstaff. There is much to be excited about!
Resonance Works is commited to maintaining a rich and vibrant community of professional musicians in the region, and are proud to report that 67% of our budget goes to paying our artists - double the national average for mid-size orchestras. However, none of this is possible without the support of generous individuals like you!
Our artists and audiences are becoming more and more engaged by our “multi-modal” approach to programming and collaboration, which has broad and exciting implications for the future. The ability to adapt to 21st century audiences is key to the ongoing health and vibrancy of our art, and your support makes this possible.
