BENEFITING: SPECIAL OPERATIONS WARRIOR FOUNDATION
EVENT: 2016 Destin Beach Ultra Runs
EVENT DATE: Feb 14, 2016
Many of their missions and stories will never be heard by the general public. Though their professional legacy will stay in the shadows for years to come, their personal legacy remains- their children.
Today, SOWF's goal is to provide a college education for all the children of fallen Special Operators. SOWF has received the highest rating (4 stars from Charity Navigator) for 10 consecutive years.
I'll be running my 2nd 50 miler In February to demonstrate my support for the children and the organization. Please join me in showing our support for these warriors and their families. Pledge $1 per mile, or more, or even a dime for this worthy cause.
SOWF began in 1980 after the daring attempt to rescue 53 American hostages in Iran. Eight souls were lost and they left behind 17 children. A battlefield promise to take care of those 17 children has become the noble cause of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
