Refugee Camp Gravel - for roads and cleanliness
Organized by: Alisa Marie
"Today I saw a little boy about Zeke's age (our 1-year-old son) trying to walk through sewage mud in between the tents... it made me sick." -email from my husband, October 2015 -
This fundraiser is to provide gravel to replace the standing water and sewage for a refugee camp filled with families displaced by violence in the middle east. My husband and some of his friends want to try and help in what ways they can, so they did some calculations and estimate that it would cost $10,000 to haul in and place enough gravel to provide decent irrigation and some basic sanitation for the entire camp.
Not all refugees can flee to a safer country, especially women and children. Here is a chance to meet refugees right where they are at and impact them in a tangible way. Would you consider helping?
