The Story

EVENT DATE: Dec 03, 2016

Frightened and confused are many of the young women and men who reluctantly come through our doors. More often than not, hopeless in their life circumstances, struggling to embrace new life within. How will these mothers and fathers respond to a new life when they are overcome with anxiety and unable to make sense of their current situation? A Beacon of Hope is a non-profit, faith-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as the parent organization to our locations in Decatur and Johns Creek. With over 30,000 abortions taking place annually in the state of Georgia and over 75% of those being performed in Fulton and DeKalb County, God has invited us to become a part of building a culture of love and life for the men and women we serve, ultimately providing them with comprehensive care that empowers them to make an educated choice about their unplanned pregnancy in a safe environment. Each patient that walks in our door is given a free pregnancy test, a thorough health screening, options education, sexually transmitted infection testing, and an ultrasound (if they qualify). Both clinics provide non-judgmental care allowing the patient to catch their breath and begin to process through their decision, understanding the support our organization is able to offer them if they choose to parent or place the child for adoption. In addition to the services listed above, we have a trained team that is ready to lovingly care for post abortive individuals within our community, our intent is to walk along side of them and to assist them in the forgiveness and healing process. VISION To be the first resource chosen for unplanned pregnancy and sexual health decisions; saving the lives of the unborn and leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. MISSION To empower women and families through pregnancy diagnosis, decision support, and sexual health education by providing compassionate medical, emotional, and long-term care that specializes in hope, healing and recovery.
