When super typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines over the Visayas region, our place was one of the places that badly hit and majority of the houses and public buildings damaged. Our small chapel was no exemption.

Our place is Brgy. Gamay, and located in an inland area of Burauen, Leyte - an hour travel from Tacloban.

I decided to register here to solicit donations because I cannot ask help from my neighborhood and other friends as they've been also affected.

The proceeds will be used for the reconstruction of our chapel. Some materials have been already provided such as coconut lumbers. This will be used to buy other construction materials like cements, hollow blocks, aluminum sheets, and also pay for the labor.

Though as per estimate it would cost more than USD 2500, the USD 1500 is just an initial and starting point. Construction depends on the amount we have to be collected.

I am encourage to finish reconstruction by June as we will be celebrating the feast of Sto. Niño (Holy Child) on June 27-28.
