RVA is part of the NO MORE Challenge, which runs from March 2nd through April 11th. It's a fundraising campaign launched by NO MORE and Verizon benefiting organizations focused on ending domestic violence and sexual assault.
The organization that raises the most will receive a $40,000 donation. In addition to the grand prize, there will be weekly bonus challenges for organizations to win up to another $45,000. Last year, we raised $47,000, but missed placing in the top three by only $1,000. This year, we’re confident that with your support we’ll secure a top spot and large donation for our cause.
Every donation makes a difference, no matter how big or small.
$50 covers travel for one volunteer to and from a partner hospital so no survivor is alone in the ER in the aftermath of traumatic violence.
$100 supports one child sexual abuse prevention workshops for children, their parents and their teachers.
$125 buys you one ticket to RVA’s annual fundraiser, Soirée in the City.
$250 pays for one police training session to ensure that law enforcement treat survivors with dignity, respect and compassion.
$1,000 supports the facilitation of five support group sessions for survivors so they can break the isolation and heal together, including specialized groups for male survivors and college students.
$1,200 buys you and 7 additional guests VIP lounge seating at Soirée in the City.
$2,000 pays for one 60-hour training series for 30 new volunteer who commit to being on call 24 hours/month to support sexual assault survivors and their loved ones in the ER.
Join RVA as we say NO MORE and stand against sexual violence. Join RVA so we can be here tomorrow for survivors. Every gift supports creating a society intolerant of rape.
