Race2Rebuild supports multiple rebuilding organizations with "boots on the ground" in Louisiana, providing relief and rebuilding services to homeowners at no cost, including SBP and All Hands Volunteers. Your tax-deductible donation will support their work and if you are available to participate, we can facilitate the opportunity to volunteer with these partners.
In August 2016, prolonged rainfall in southern Louisiana resulted in catastrophic flooding that submerged thousands of houses and businesses. Louisiana's governor, John Bel Edwards, called the disaster a "historic, unprecedented flooding event" and declared a state of emergency.
Because of the large number of homeowners without flood insurance that were affected, the federal government is helping with the response through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The flood has been called the worst US natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
Together we can move this forward. Together we Race2Rebuild.
