Turning Point believes that all persons have the right to live free from violence. The agency has been providing victim services since 1975, and serves an 8 county region in south-central Indiana. While original services were focused on providing emergency shelter to victims of domestic violence, agency initiatives have grown to include non-residential services that include both direct services to victims as well as primary prevention to youth and professional trainings to first responders. Turning Point understands that working towards the elimination of domestic violence requires not only effective interventions after violence has occurred but also prevention strategies designed to reduce the occurrence of first acts of violence in relationships.
Our agency is excited to be participating in this very special event to raise awareness along with funding to provide services to victims of domestic violence.
