BENEFITING: BRIGHT FUTURE FOUNDATION FOR EAGLE COUNTY
EVENT DATE: Oct 25, 2016
Bright Future is one of 200 agencies nationwide competing for a $100,000 grant in the Allstate Foundation’s Purple Purse Challenge.
During October, Bright Future will aim to raise money for its crucial programs to empower individuals and families affected by domestic violence. More importantly, BFF also aims to create awareness within our community.
Our goal is to eliminate all forms of violence in our community. With your help, we believe it's a goal that's well within our reach!
Celebrating over 34 years of providing compassionate prevention, crisis intervention and recovery services in Eagle County, Bright Future Foundation's mission is to "empower individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault to lead safe, productive lives through prevention services, advocacy, crisis intervention and recovery services.” As Eagle County’s only domestic violence and sexual assault agency, we provide proactive and culturally sensitive services to victims, children, families, as well as the community that result in greater self-sufficiency, self-efficacy, and self-confidence.
Our programs include our crisis response/intervention services including: 24-hour crisis hotline, Freedom Ranch Safehouse, intensive case management and advocacy services, legal advocacy, and legal representation. Bright Future also offers a variety of long-term recovery services: counseling, self-sufficiency/job skills training, and our transitional housing program. Our youth violence prevention efforts include our mentoring program, Buddy Mentors, and in-school violence prevention programming such as EmpowerMENt and You Grow Gorl. These programs present models of healthy relationships to male and female students in Eagle County.
