Pui Tak Christian School (PTCS) was founded in 1953 to serve a predominantly immigrant population. It was the first-ever nursery in Chicago’s Chinatown, addressing the profound need of families who lacked the English background needed for their children to flourish in a typical school setting.
Today, PTCS is a PK-8 school for roughly 150 children. It serves a 92% minority student population in the heart of urban Chicago. With a curriculum that emphasizes character, creativity, and cross-cultural learning we prepare our students to be Disciples, living out the Gospel message, becoming agents of restoration and renewal in a world looking for hope.
Our vision is to see children rise to their potential and succeed in all spheres of life with joy and strength of Spirit.
