As the operator of a small computer support business in the Midwest, I have a growing number of customers who are on fixed incomes, are disabled, or are financially challenged. I donate my time at reduced or no expense to many of these people but the need has outgrown what I can handle. As technology grows it is a blessing to those who can afford to embrace it's advantages but it is becoming a burden to those who cannot. Many resources are available to these people on the internet once they can access them. I started this in hopes of filling this need and providing services and technology to those who can benefit from it most. The first phase is to finish the process of establishing the non-profit I have called Tech-Tutor. I have registered with the state and irs (501c recognition is still pending) but I need funding to dot the i's And cross the t's (attorney fees and accounting) and start purchasing hardware and pay expenses for servicing the current customers waiting for assistance. Then I would like to start supplying computers or tablets to those in need, elderly shut-ins, disabled and other organizations who have a need for tech that its patrons can access (homeless, sick, unwed mothers and others). I would eventually like to establish a public space were the underserved community can congregate for instruction and advice. Please help fill this growing need. Thank you.
