Saint Francis Solano Parish and School is in its third century of ministry and fellowship for the city, town and county of Sonoma, California. Dating back to the Mission of Sonoma, St Francis parish was born from the California Mission system, which was the backbone of community values and commerce forming the 7th largest economy in the world. St. Francis has flourished in the wine and farming community of Sonoma by providing a place of worship, faith and community for all people of the greater Sonoma Valley. However, our aim has always been to preserve the small town "Americana" that serves as a beacon to California's best days, best ways and solemn devotions. Beginning with the site of the Bear Flag Republic and spanning to today's prosperous township, St Francis Solano parishioners and facilities have served as the central nervous system to this historic place in California's history. In the 1950s and 1960, new facilities were erected and renovated to support the parish and school. They are iconic. They are places were generations of Californians have been baptized, educated, married and buried. Despite lofty efforts to raise money from local businesses and citizen's, the parish has fell short $625,000 of its $3M goal to renovate its facilities, primarily Father Roberts Hall, the parish center. We humbly ask for your support to become part of this historic community through your generosity. All donations are welcome. However, for those who can give $200 or more, you will be eligible to receive a commemorative brick that will be forever emboldened, with your family name or memorial inscription, into our outdoor concourse for Father Roberts Hall. This is a limited time only (unitl June 30, 2016) and we only have 1,000 bricks.
Sincerely and God's Blessings Upon You, Father Alvin Villaruel
