Adalah-NY needs your help to print 2000 copies of "The Power of Our Voices," a 24-page zine explaining the Palestinian call for the cultural boycott of Israel. We need $1500 to do it! We believe this zine is one of the best single tools for educating audiences about all aspects of the cultural boycott, and provides a compelling call to join our efforts.
This zine is one part of our newly launched campaign to build a community of artists and cultural workers in New York City who support the cultural boycott.
Featuring fifteen pages of original comics by Ethan Heitner, it highlights the voices of Palestinian artists Samia Halaby, Annemarie Jacir, and Larissa Sansour, and includes documents from Adalah-NY and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI), poetry by Remi Kanazi, and graphics from both the current Palestinian BDS movement and the historical movement against South African apartheid.
Adalah-NY: The New York Campaign for the Boycott of Israel has distributed -- for free -- more than 1000 physical copies of the zine since July 2014, and has made it available online for anyone in the movement to share and reproduce. Now it’s time to print another batch of copies.
Help us put 2000 more of these great zines into the hands of people who want to learn more about the boycott. Educating audiences about the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions so that they can take action is one of our core missions.
$1500 will cover the cost of printing and transporting the zines, plus the deductions taken for processing fees. Any extra money we raise will go straight into our cultural boycott campaigns! All donations are tax-deductible through our longtime fiscal sponsor, the WESPAC Foundation.
