Preston was first diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2. At age 6 he was also diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. He has been receiving therapy but after the age of 6 his funding decreased so much that he was not going to be able to continue with his speech and occupational therapy. Those therapies which helped him slowly start talking at the age of 4 and with his physical issues due to EDS. He was just starting to blossom and we were not going to be able to continue on our journey. That was when Variety stepped in and helped Preston continue to receive those therapies and to keep on growing! We were very blessed and thankful for all the support that we received. Preston is almost 8 now and is a little ball of energy and a little chatterbox too. He loves to learn and teach new things to everyone around him. He is an activist as well with things that are dear to his heart. That is why he has decided to become a Variety Ambassador and raise money so that Variety can help other little boys and girls in BC just like him.
