My story -
Some of you know this, most of you don't. Last year, I suffered a miscarriage and in the following months developed a debilitating case of postpartum anxiety. I'm stepping out, telling my story for the first time and participating in this fundraiser as a way to say THANK YOU to the friends, family and professionals who helped me and my family through one of the most trying times of my life. Please consider donating anything you can! We need to get rid of the stigmas and raise awareness for perinatal mood disorders.
POSTPARTUM PROGRESS INC wrote -
Join women across the world to raise money for Postpartum Progress, which raises awareness and provides support to women as they recover from postpartum depression and other associated mood and anxiety disorders. On June 21st, the longest day of the year, we will raise money by climbing a mountain or hiking a trail near our homes to represent our symbolic rise out of the darkness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders into the light of hope and recovery.
It doesn't matter where in the world you live. It doesn't matter exactly which day you climb or hike. It doesn't matter if it's an easy walk or the most strenuous climb. Be part of this event. Get out there with family or friends or even on your own, in the glorious sunshine, and be a part of Climb Out of the Darkness.
The longest day. Sunshine. Nature. Exercise. Triumph.
Join us for Climb Out of the Darkness.
