BENEFITING: Humane Society for Hamilton County
ORGANIZER: Humane Society for Hamilton County
EVENT DATE: Aug 24, 2013
Every Princess deserves her happily ever after. Our Princess is still waiting for that day. She has spent most of her life at HSHC despite the fact that she is extremely smart and loving. She scored 95% on bomb detection training but pit bulls need to score 98% to enter the program. Doesn't seem fair, right? But Princess doesn't hold a grudge- she loves all humans! Princess needs a very special home with a human who will know how to handle her strength and stamina. She also needs to be the only pet. These things make it a bit more difficult to find just the right home but we won't give up on our Princess...ever.
One of their major events to help raise money and awareness for the shelter is Dog Day Afternoon featuring Woofstock on 8/24/13.
The Parade of Paws Dog Walk is an opportunity to raise desperately needed funds for shelter dogs and cats in need of life‐saving medical care. Thousands of animals pass through HSHC's doors each year, and special medical needs or disability. To us, a senior animal with diabetes deserves the same chance as a healthy puppy or kitten. We believe EVERY LIFE COUNTS.
Your donation to my fundraising page will help make an immediate and direct impack on saving lives. All money raised from the Parade of Paws Walk will benefit our Survivor Program which makes it possible for us to give animals a second chance at life.
Here is just an example of how your donations will be used:
$2000 in pledges covers the cost of surgery for an animal after being hit by a car.
$1000 in pledges wil cover the costs to shelter 20 animals for one week.
$500 in pledges covers the surgery cost to remove dangerous masses or correct an animal's eye defect.
$300 in pledges saves the life of a heartworm positive dog.
$250 in pledges covers the cost of care for one animal - for one month.
$100 in pledges disinfects the shelter for one week in order to prevent the spread of illness.
