THE STORY: Would you like your dog to be crowned 2015 King or Queen of the Frenchtown Dog Park? Do you want to show your support for the amazing space where our dogs can run free and play hard? If so, nominate your dog and begin campaigning today! Campaigning is easy and open to any resident with a friendly, social dog. Go online to nominate your dog for $10.00. Then, let the voting begin! The dogs with the most “votes” win!
How does this contest benefit the Dog Park? In the end all of our patrons win, as proceeds support maintenance and improvement projects at the park. Last year, the King and Queen contest raised over $3,000. Past events have funded accomplishments such as fencing, watering stations, entryways, benches, grass cutting, property taxes, and utility payments. We have many ideas in formation for future projects; including a fence for our new for our new South parcel of land, agility course and playground equipment.
What’s in it for your dog? If your dog is crowned King or Queen, not only will he receive the status and privilege of being Dog Park royalty, his/her regal image will be posted at the park, on the FDPA website, and on the Facebook page as the reigning pooch until next year’s event. Also, a follow up article will be written for the Soulard Renaissance featuring your beloved. Your dog will receive a photo in the royal throne with the royal crown and cape. In the future, your dog might be asked to attend Dog Park events as our guest of honor. Next year, the reigning King and Queen will be asked to lead our group at the 2015 Barkus Day Parade, wearing the crown and cape. As the winning owner, you will receive a beautiful custom gift basket and priceless parental pride!
