Any donation you make in the next few weeks will quadruple, thanks to a challenge from the funders, but THIS IS URGENT because we must raise this money to keep Peace Practices seed funding.
If you really want traction on any problem of any scale, teach adults and children Peace Practices so they may move beyond good intentions to make peace with their body, words, and thought. We provide the daily practice of concrete physical, verbal, and mental skills,as though peace depends on Conflict Done Well and is an art of Martial Nonviolence. That is what the Peace Practices curriculum does and what the children and adults who are part of our training community now expect as their new bottom line.
We received international and renewable funding in 2015 which provided our seed money and most vital vote of confidence from the world at large. But that is money that allowed us to get started, and which will drop away as we continue. We must replace it entirely to survive, and multiply it in order to flourish.
This year, your support will nourish over one hundred peace practitioners from three to ninety three years of age in the San Francisco Area. Next year our impact will extend into the United States beyond California. By 2017 we will be international, hopefully working in either Nicaragua or Ethiopia, or both.
The world is the potential scope of your impact when you help us. Program sustainability requires many factors to fall into place. You, and others like you, are the essential piece needed for this work to reach its full local, national, and international potential.
Our organization is over a decade old, founded on a determination and commitment to build Community on purpose so that everyone gets what they need and a shot at what they want. We have a mighty and highly qualified but rather small staff which works well together to focus entirely on our projects. "We" now includes assistant instructors and we are training a growing number of other conflict professionals capable of expanding our learning community with an emphasis on quality and producing more learners capable of being teachers. With this work in progress Tomorrow is potentially brighter.
We need your direct assistance to make it actually brighter.
The donation thank-you will list the beneficiary as Beamish Process Arts because that is the original name of our organization, now known as Association Building Community (ABC), and will go directly to the Peace Practices project.
