Get ready to brave the icy waters for a great cause! The 2nd Annual Crystal Lake Ice-Out Patriot Polar Plunge will benefit the Patriot Parents Enrichment Initiatives throughout the schools in our district.
The goal of this year’s Patriot Polar Plunge is to raise $5,000!
Rules, regulations, and some seemingly useless information …
Participants must raise a minimum of $100.00 in pledges (Students $50.00).
For those not quite willing to submerge themselves in water cold enough to make grown men/women scream for their mommies we offer the “Chicken Dip.” This is your chance to support the event causes without taking the plunge. Chicken Dippers will still be required to raise the minimum of $100 (Students $50) to participate in the event, but will only need to get their feet wet
Lets go over a few rules
Students must have parents permission, and should not eat within a ½ hour of dip – Mom said.
No Pushing! All participants must enter the water of their own volition. “Volition” means you are crazy enough to do it on your own.
It is not required to submerge your entire body.
No dry suits, wetsuits, or those too small suits foreign men wear.
Water shoes or an old pair of sneakers are recommended.
Participant test: Look around your house, office, or classroom. Do you see the person that is nutty enough to do this event? If you cannot determine who that person is … it is probably you!
Optional: Bring a warm fluffy robe to help with the drying off process.
No ‘endurance’ contests will be permitted. Participants must jump in and get out. Yelling is optional.
Come Join In the Fun and don’t forget to wear your Patriotic Costume!!
