EVENT DATE: Nov 13, 2016
Party4Life is a fundraiser for the Lucy Fund, which is dedicated to raising funds for metastatic cancer research through the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Lucy Stanovick, the founder of the Lucy Fund, was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2008, her research revealed that metastasis causes more than 90% of cancer-related deaths but receives less than 5% of funding. Party4Life brings communities together to educate about the pressing issue of metastasis and raise funds that directly support metastatic cancer research. The event unifies fighters and volunteers in a celebration that you can make your own.
This will be Susquehanna's 4th Annual Party4Life, and we are hoping to have the largest event yet! It is being held on Sunday, November 13th from 4pm until 7pm at the racquetball lounge in the Garrett Sports Complex. We will have food, games, speakers, and more! It is $5 pre-registration online, or $10 at the door. We also accept donations! We are hoping to raise at least $1,000, and your participation is essential for the success of the event.
The event is being hosted by Alpha Phi Omega, the coed Service Fraternity on campus. If anyone has questions about the event, they can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (570)772-8448.
